Founded in Auckland in 2007, Ebode Studio is one of New Zealand's leading sustainable architecture practices and is headed by principal eco designers Niel de Jong and Johann Bernhardt. Our aim is to provide truly sustainable homes for discerning clients. We integrate architecture, interiors, landscape and green technologies for a more sustainable future. We are a multi disciplinary practice which gives us great design flexibility and enables the studio to initiate dynamic solutions in short time frames.
Ebode Studio is widely recognised as a highly innovative practice, upholding the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. Our projects are creative and experimental, but always practical and livable. We have made sustainability the core of our work, and the driving force of our design philosophy. We are also involved in the rewriting of building and sustainability regulations and are widely quoted in the media for our activism.
In 2009 Niel & Johann were joined by Japanese Architect Shizuka Yasui and her Husband Bob Burnett, now based in Christchurch.
As well as accepting commissions for unique architecturally styled homes, Ebode Studio undertakes all of the design work for ebode truly sustainable homes, and benefits from the support of ebode homes' project management and construction partners, all of whom are trained and experienced in providing quality environmentally sustainable home solutions for discerning clients.
As a working collective the members of Ebode Studio are able to collaborate on some of the most exciting sustainable design projects through out New Zealand and are in a unique position to critique and refine each others work in this ground breaking field. |
